109. Small, amazing!
hondajet hondajet 2
Went to Narita No.1 terminal again.
This design indeed stood out among big aircraft with engines hanging in front under the wings.
Chasing a dream and continuing tenacious efforts to materialize it enabled this type of feat.

108.@Bring this to Inba marsh, please
airboat airboat 2
Again from old photo slides. I boarded this one called airboat at my visit to Florida for a product seminar. At a large marsh called Everglades, the flat-bottom boat cruised by large propeller fans intstead of conventional submerged propeller screw.

It cruises with roaring sounds and violent speed by 2 units of air-cooled engines, irrespective of reed bushes or similar, even crocodiles which eyes we could see in front of waves of <<< shape. The shallow waters there seem to have developed such boats.

An interesting thing was that there were bald coots which looked same as those in Inba marsh, although their feathers were colorful like kingfishers here.

The existing roofed boat driven by outboard engine in Inba marsh looks miserable, and does not bring me any appetite to board it. However if it were this airboat, I will certainly get on it.

106. Bird-house
kubituka On my work to sort out old photo slides, a photo for the 1st and 2nd bird houses happened to appear.
It was copied by the usual pocket camera with Nikon's slide copying adapter ES-1.

The currently used bird box is the 3rd genertion, and this year shijukara (tit) started making its nest on the March 31st. It is much earlier than usual years.

kugituka Went to the burial mound of Masakado's head on the way to flower viewing.
Many young people were there.

104. Unknown creature
kaijyu Upon encountering this type of thing, my hand automatically estends to my pocket camera.

Its overall shape does not seem to change appreciably, even if children enter or exit. Though I thought a sizable blower is required to keep the perssure inside, it turned out that 2 units of ordinary 100 V, 550 W blower are used.

One is the blower seen at the lower right corner of the picture, going to the upper air space. The other is much smaller in size and connected to the bottom air space. As the latter is for the air under the flower, it seems that the required air flow is smaller, while the pressure level is higher than those of the former one and resulted in the same output.

103. Hina festival
Hina dolls Hina dolls have replaced the new year ornament at the alcove, though I was unaware of.
Well, that's right. March is coming soon.

102. Shrike
Shrike A shrike seen in the usual place of my walking.
The bird had evaded my repeated trials to direct the lens.
Today he looked relaxed in a light of calm afternoon.
This seems to be a male Aka Mozu (red shrike).

101. Poem of Sakimori
Sakimori poem monument Sakimori poem monument 2
Stone monument for a poem in Manyoushu (8th century poem anthology) along the usual bikeway. It inscribes a poem composed by a soldier dispatched to Kyushu from this area. The writer is a man called, Hasetukabe Oomaro, hailing from Iniha province (olden name of this area). It looks he composed the poem, though strictly following the poem style, by condemning that the order to serve as a Sakimori which he never thought of was too abrut to do anything.

Where was his assigned place, Tsushima or Iki or North Kyushu? Though the service term was 3 years, it is said that there were not so many who were able to return to their eastern countries. Could this person called Oomaro safely return to this Iniha province?

P3C Speaking of Sakimori, the bridge seen behind the monument is Funato bridge which happens to be a landmark point of the eastern boundary of training airspace for the contemporary Sakimori, anti-subrimarine aircraft P3C. The P3C frequently comes, makes U-turn just overhead and returns. Umm--. The duty which Oomaro served 1300 years ago is surely taken over to this day.

100. Slide rule
Slide rule Slide rule flip side
A slide rule which I frequently use these days.
Most probably young people don't know what it means.
When it comes to simplicityAthis is the best, though scientific calculators and EXCEL functions are fine.
For most of my calculations on antennas, this is sufficient enough.
